Clutz much?

Either I'm going crazy, or I am pregnant- nah, most likely both! Heh, I feel like I think that a lot lately! (:

Today, I just can't seem to keep it together, or at least hold myself upright without tripping, running into something, or dropping stuff all over the place (and myself). Some people say that hormones are to blame for making the muscles more loose, which leads to a lack of balance and coordination at times. Ah, yes, blame it on the hormones!

Anyway, the main trouble I'm having is dropping food all the time. Perhaps I dropped food a lot before I was pregnant, but I feel like my (now much larger that I'm used to) belly and chest make one giant food net whenever I eat something.

Haha, after eating, I feel like I look what people typically picture a couch potato as, with a big belly and crumbs/stains all down their shirt. (Kinda like this guy, minus the beer and chest hair! Hahaha). I don't sit around and watch TV all day like a typical couch potato, but being a Senior in college, I spend hours upon hours doing homework on the couch, saying we don't own a computer desk to work at. Oh well, at least my big tummy makes a nice remote control holder when I catch a break from school, right?

Ring of Fire

I have been pretty lucky in my pregnancy. No throwing up *knock on wood,* no swelling, and until recently, no annoying heartburn. Unfortunately, I am coming to know the feeling of unquenchable fire in my throat- the lovely heartburn monster that visits many pregnant women. Now, I can't seem to get the  song, "Ring of Fire" out of my head, perfectly fitting for my feelings.

In fact, I have never really had a problem with heartburn until now, even before I was pregnant. When hearing other pregnant women explain about their heartburn, I was always curious to know how it feels to have it. Ohhh! Be careful what you wish for, indeed. My love for my baby as well as food now makes me feel the Ring of Fire - a.k.a. my esophagus burning from stomach acid.
I have heard milk helps neutralize the acid. I am almost out of milk, though, and need to spare it to put in scrambled eggs I plan on making tomorrow morning for my hubby for Father's Day. Ah, what people do for the ones we love! In my case, that makes me feel the burn because of my baby, I have nothing to put out the fire because of my husband, yet, I feel the burning love for both of these wonderful loves of my life in my heart. I'd say, in that case, it's all worth it.

A Happy Day for Mama (:

I am 20 weeks, 1 day pregnant.
My husband and I went to the doctor's office today to get an ultrasound and find out what we're having, and...
--drumroll please--

It's a girl!!!

We're super excited!
This makes it all feel more real. I can imagine holding a baby girl in a few short months, and it makes me want to become the best person so my baby girl will have the best Mama ever. (:
